I tried to correct this but my correction is not accepted. In our language the word "les" is pronounced "lɛ" — This unsigned comment was added by 80.236.212.132 (talk).

Not entirely true - both pronunciations are correct. --Robbie SWE (talk) 18:41, 3 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Change the whole page to Wikipedia's IPA/French

[edit]

I suggest making this page identical to the corresponding page on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/French) - the latter is cleaner, easier to understand especially for rank beginners and conveys the same information without loss of accuracy.

I agree, and have often been baffled by the keys used in Wiktionary, some of which aren't keys but interminably long articles on phonology. Case in point, the Wiktionary French key does not do a good job of delineating the sounds the letter "a" can have. The Wikipedia key is superior, especially for the average user. 68.193.141.193 22:35, 7 October 2023 (UTC)corphoReply
