The subpages of this page list translations of phrases that are used idiomatically in numerous languages other than English, but have no idiomatic English equivalent.
It is important to understand that the names chosen for these pages are often literal translations of an idiom in another language. For example, the phrase "those who can't use their head must use their back" is a literal translation from German and is never used in English.
