Etymology

Only attested in Tolkien’s earlier conception of the language (‘Noldorin’). Diegetically explained as inherited from Primitive Elvish *andambundā, synchronically equivalent to and (long) +‎ bond (snouted), and so cognate to Quenya andamunda.
