Conjugation of regular -ar verbs in Norwegian (Nynorsk)
[edit]These are called "-er verbs" or "-e verbs" because the present tense ends in -er, while the simple past tense ends in -e. Like with all regular Nynorsk verbs, the writer may use either -a or -e in the infinitive.
Example: å møte/møta (to meet)
- Infinitive: å møte/møta
- Present: møter
- Simple past: møtte
- Future: skal møte/møta, vil møte/møta
- Conditional: skulle møte/møta, ville møte/møta
- Past participle:
- Singular møtt
- Plural møtte
- Perfect: har møtt
- Pluperfect: hadde møtt
- Future perfect: skal ha møtt, vil ha møtt
- Conditional perfect: skulle ha møtt, ville ha møtt
