Appendix:Lojban/lenu

From Wiktionary, the free dictionary

Lojban

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

le +‎ nu

Particle

[edit]

lenu

  1. composition of le and nu

Usage notes

[edit]
  • In some instances, lenu can be translated as to (the infinitive particle).
  • According to the "xorlo" reform, the use of "lo nu" or "lonu" is generally preferable unless referring to some specific event.[1] (The books by John Cowan: Lojban For Beginners and The Complete Lojban Language were written before the xorlo reform, so "lenu"/"le nu" gets used more often (compared to "lonu"/"lo nu") than it would currently.)
