[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

Formed from rafsi gli (glico) and ban (bangu). The cmene form of this word (that is, ending in a consonant) is used specifically for the language itself, as opposed to the possible lujvo glibau (which refers to an English type-of language, often--but not necessarily--English).

Proper noun

[edit]

gliban.

  1. English (the language)
mi tavla le pendo zo'e la gliban.
I speak to a friend about some unspecified subject in English.
