Etymology
[edit]Gikun word derived by applying Chinese-derived spelling 誘惑 (“enticement, seduction”), a term which decomposes into 誘 (“entice”) + 惑 (“beguile”), to native Japanese verb まどわす (madowasu, “to beguile”).
