Etymology
[edit]Gikun word derived by applying Chinese-derived spelling 腹行 (“belly going”), a term which decomposes into 腹 (“belly”) + 行 (“go”), to native Japanese verb はらばう (harabau, “to go (crawl/move about) on the belly”).
