Etymology
[edit]Gikun word derived by applying Chinese-derived spelling 填塞 (“closed up”), a term which decomposes into 填 (“fill up”) + 塞 (“stop up”), to inflected form of native Japanese verb ふさぐ (fusagu, “to close”).
