Press the middle finger and thumb together and then fling the middle finger onto your palm, producing a clicking or snapping sound. (Not all people are capable of doing this.)

  1. Used as a peremptory way to get somebody's attention, for example a waiter in a restaurant.
  2. Indicates remembering something previously forgotten.
