[edit]- Abjad numerals are Arabic letters used as numbers. When Arabic letters are used as numbers, they follow a traditional order based on the Hebrew alphabet. Sometimes the numbers are marked by an overline.
- The traditional abjad sequence is:
- أ ب ج د ه و ز ح ط ي ك ل م ن س ع ف ص ق ر ش ت ث خ ذ ض ظ غ
- The abjad is grouped into these words to facilitate memory:
- Units 1–9:
