African peach (plural African peaches)

  1. Nauclea latifolia) (syns. Sarcocephalus latifolius, Sarcocephalus esculentus), a deciduous rubiaceous climbing shrub of west tropical Africa, or its fruit; its bark, doundaké, is used medicinally.
