    • 1713 October 21, published in Dorothea Townshend, "Notes from the Council Book of Clonakilty — Municipal Records of Clonakilty, 1675 to 1802", Journal of the Cork Historical and Archaeological Society Vol.II (2nd series) No.13 p.34:
      The suffrain, the undernamed burgesses, and deputy recorder have set unto Samuel Gillbertson the fairs and markets, tolls and customs, for the rent of £30 5s. sterl. for one year, to be paid in three gales— viz., the 1st day of 9ber, 1713; the 26th March, 1714; and the 30th of 7ber, 1714.
