Compound of 1@NearSfhead-PalmDown 1@Sfhead-PalmDown (think) and 1@RadialHand-PalmDown-1@CenterChesthigh-PalmDown Contact (same). The typical ASL compounding process for such signs drops the initial move of the first component and the contact and optional repetition of the second component.

  • This two-handed ASL sign is produced as follows:
    1. Posture the dominant hand in the “1” handshape with the tip of the index finger touching the side of the forehead, palm facing down.
    2. Hold the dominant hand still briefly.
    3. Posture the nondominant hand in the “1” handshape in the center of the space in front of the chest, palm facing down, finger pointing forward. At the same time, move the dominant hand so the radial edge of the index finger contacts that of the nondominant hand, palm facing down, finger pointing forward.
    4. Hold both hands still briefly.
