1. (causative suffix) Added to a verb to indicate a meaning of to cause someone or something to do something, or to cause a change in state of a non-volitional event.

   ‎ತಿನ್ನು (tinnu, “to eat”) + ‎-ಇಸು (-isu) → ‎ತಿನ್ನಿಸು (tinnisu, “to feed”)

   ‎ಮಲಗು (malagu, “to sleep”) + ‎-ಇಸು (-isu) → ‎ಮಲಗಿಸು (malagisu, “to put to sleep”)

2. Used to form verbs from nouns or adjectives.
