- Marks the accusative case in the regular and hidden-n declensions:
- After a back vowel stem ending in the consonant б (b), в (v), д (d), з (z), л (l), м (m), н (n), п (p), р (r), с (s), т (t), ф (f), х (x) or ц (c).
- архив (arxiv, “archive”) + -ыг (-yg) → архивыг (arxivyg)
- ноос (noos, “wool”) + -ыг (-yg) → ноосыг (noosyg)
- After a back vowel stem ending in a consonant followed by a short vowel (which is supplanted).
- цана (cana, “ski”) + -ыг (-yg) → цаныг (canyg)
- хурга (xurga, “lamb”) + -ыг (-yg) → хургыг (xurgyg)
- After a back vowel stem ending in an iotated vowel.
- ая (aja, “melody”) + -ыг (-yg) → аяыг (ajayg)
