лірика (liryka, lyrics) + ‎-ичний (-yčnyj) → ‎ліричний (liryčnyj, lyrical)

Usage notes

[edit]
  • The vast majority of adjectives ending in -ичний (-yčnyj) are based off of foreign roots, and are often parallel to foreign terms ending in English -ic or equivalents in other languages (e.g. French -ique, German -ik), to which -ний (-nyj) has been added. See for example методи́чний (metodýčnyj, methodical), from мето́дика (metódika, method, methodology).
