Etymology

A visual pun from the combination of two emoji, ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ (โ€œtrash, dumpsterโ€) +‎ ๐Ÿ”ฅ (โ€œfireโ€).[1] Popularised during the 2016 United States presidential election alongside the phrase dumpster fire.[2]
