(𓈙, representing a pool) with a few diagonal lines across the interior to suggest ripples of water and distinguish it from similar glyphs; this form originated in hieratic and appeared occasionally in semi-cursive hieroglyphs during the Old Kingdom (and later); it rarely appeared in hieroglyphs proper before the Late Period.
