Inherited from Proto-Common Turkic *tuzak (trap). Perhaps related to 𐾀𐽳𐽴𐽹𐽰𐽲 (twzmʾq /⁠tuzmaḳ⁠/, to be humorous, to be funny) or 𐾀𐽳𐽾 (twr /⁠tor, tur⁠/, fishing net, snare, trap).
