[edit]Borrowed from Avestan 𐬬𐬌𐬱𐬙𐬁𐬯𐬞𐬀 (Vištāspa). Equivalent to *vištah (“free, unbridled”) + 𐎠𐎿 (a-s /asaʰ/), 𐎠𐎿𐎱 (a-s-p /aspaʰ/, “horse”).[1]
