ππ°π³ππ΄πΉπ½π
Appearance
Gothic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From ππ°π³π°π (fadar, βfatherβ) + -π΄πΉπ½π (-eins). The noun-forming suffix -π΄πΉπ½π (-eins) usually is attached to a verb, but there is no known verb from which this could've been derived, which makes this derivation slightly problematic.
Noun
[edit]ππ°π³ππ΄πΉπ½π β’ (fadreins) f
Declension
[edit]Only attested in the genitive singular. Based on other nouns ending in -eins, it is suspected to have followed the same i/Ε-stem paradigm, but the lack of a source verb (see etymology) renders the supposed Ε-stem forms conjectural; the attested form is of the i-stem part of the paradigm.
