Gothic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Borrowed from Latin uncia. As the term is only attested in a sixth-century document from Ostrogothic Italy, it may well have been a late borrowing, but there is no way to confirm this (as the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence).
Noun
[edit]πΏπ½πΊπΎπ° β’ (unkja) m
- an uncia (unit of area measure equivalent to roughly 2,400 square ft.)
