하야ᄒᆞ다
Appearance
Middle Korean
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Univerbation of *해 (*hay-) + 아 (-a, infinitive suffix) + ᄒᆞ다 (hota, “to be”, light verb deriving adjectives). The first component is clearly related to ᄒᆡ〮다〮 (hóytá, “to be white”), but the vowel mismatch is difficult to explain.
