[edit]First attested in the Gyeongsinnok eonsok (敬信錄諺釋 / 경신록언석), 1796, as Early Modern Korean 쓸어기 (sseureogi). Perhaps related to Middle Korean ᄡᅳᆯ다 (Yale: psulta, “to sweep”).
