-라는 • (-raneun)

1. Alternative form of -다는 (-daneun, declarative, noun-modifying quotative suffix) in the following environments:
   1. Directly after the stem of -이다 (-ida, “to be”, copula), whether present or elided, and its negative 아니다 (anida, “to not be”).

      허우위강이라는 어느 방문객이 말하기를, 그는 기후 변화와 바이수이에의 융해에 대해서 너무 걱정하지는 않는다고 한다.

      Heouwigang'iraneun eoneu bangmun'gaegi malhagireul, geuneun gihu byeonhwawa baisu'ie'ui yunghaee daehaeseo neomu geokjeonghajineun anneundago handa.
