[edit]First attested in the Seokbo sangjeol (釋譜詳節 / 석보상절), 1447, as Middle Korean 다〯ᄆᆞᆫ〮 (Yale: tǎmón).
Beyond Korean, compare Manchu ᡩᠠᠮᡠ (damu, “merely, however”).
