Inherited from Old Javanese wani, wāni (courage, bravery, valour, prowess; to dare, daring, courageous, brave, valiant), from Proto-Malayo-Polynesian *baʀani (to be brave, be bold; to dare). Doublet of ꦧꦿꦤꦶ (brani).
