Usage notes
[edit]Usage varies. In some manuscripts, sigmoid ⟨ꟙ⟩ appears in word-final position and long ⟨ſ⟩ elsewhere; in others, sigmoid ⟨ꟙ⟩ appears in word-initial position, long ⟨ſ⟩ medially and ⟨s⟩ word-finally. Or scribes may vary the forms apparently randomly.
