- Nokogirisō is also known as achillea. In Greek myth, the hero Achilles knew how to use this plant to heal wounds. The name of the plant comes from this legend.
- ノコギリソウの別名はアキレア。ギリシャ神話の英雄アキレスが、この植物に傷を治す力があることを知る。そんな伝説が名の由来だ。
