Etymology
[edit]Modified from 赤瓜線/赤瓜线, the traditional name given to the reef by Hainanese fishermen because of the abundant presence of Actinopyga mauritiana (colloquially known as 赤瓜參/赤瓜参 in Chinese) near the reef.
