Etymology
[edit]A phrase forming a complete sentence, consisting of 話せば (hanaseba, “if sb. talks”, conditional form of verb 話す hanasu, “to talk”) + わかる (wakaru, “to understand”). Literally, "If I talk, you (will) understand".
