Usage notes
[edit]In Mandarin, 解 in this place name should not be read as jiě. Some people insist on approximating the local pronunciation of hài, but dictionaries such as Xiandai Hanyu Guifan Cidian and the Revised Mandarin Chinese Dictionary recommend xiè instead, following the usual reflex in Standard Mandarin.
