Usage notes
[edit]Commonly used in formal situations e.g. news, but less commonly used among citizens. Usually, the terms 地鐵/地铁, 火車/火车 (“East Rail Line”), and 西鐵/西铁 (“West Rail Line”) (referring to the network before merger of MTR and KCR) are used.
