- 1960, Kaneko Kinjirō, “Ryōki renga ron ni okeru ‘te ni wo ha’ no igi”, in Kokubungaku kō[1], page 337:
- 意味の両。(山類・水辺、体・用、四季などの詞の分類に見られることき。)
- Imi no ryō. (Yamarui suihen, karada yō, shiki nado no shi no bunrui ni mirareru koto ki.)
- Division by meaning. (This can be seen in the division of lyrics into yamarui [mountain words], suihen [water words] of constitution or use, or shiki [four seasons] and so on.)
- 意味の両。(山類・水辺、体・用、四季などの詞の分類に見られることき。)
