Etymology
[edit]Unknown.
A surface analysis suggests that the initial fuyu portion might be 冬 (fuyu, “winter”). The final mi is a common ending element in female given names, and might be from 実 (mi, “fruit, seed; result, offspring”, cognate with 身 (mi, “body”)).
As with many names, there is a wide variety of possible kanji spellings, where the kanji characters themselves lend additional meanings and nuances to the name.
