    For example, ⟨ḁ᫄⟩ is an [a] that is partially devoiced at the end, perhaps because it's at the end of an utterance or precedes a voiceless consonant, while ⟨ã᫂⟩ a lightly nasalized at the end, perhaps because it precedes a nasal consonant or a nasal vowel in the following syllable.
