ἀδευκής
Appearance
Ancient Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Uncertain. Perhaps from ἀ- (a-, “not”) + δεῦκος (deûkos, “sweetness”), thus "not sweet, bitter, cruel." Or possibly from ἀ- (a-, “not”) + δεύκει (deúkei, “he considers, ponders”), thus "unexpected" or "careless."
