     yaṃ maṅgalaṃ dvādasahi cintayiṃsu sadevakā
     sotthānaṃ nādhigacchanti aṭṭhatiṃsañca maṅgalaṃ

     For twelve years [men] along with devas pondered, “What is welfare?”. But they did not arrive at the eight and thirty welfares that bring happiness.
