[edit]ᨮ (ṭha)
- The 20th letter and 12th consonant of the Tai Tham Pali alphabet. In Pali it represents the unvoiced, aspirated retroflex consonant /ʈʰ/, written <ṭh> in the Roman script.
Usage notes
[edit]As the second or subsequent element of a consonant cluster, this letter is usually reduced to its bottom half, the tail. This subscript form has its own encoding in Unicode, namely as the character ᩛ. The regional variation of the letter ᨮ (ṭha) is more visible than the subtle difference between it and the cluster ᨭᩛ formed with ᨭ (ṭa).
