[edit]In view of Tigre ጎር (gor, “in proximity of”), which is, also a noun meaning “neighbour”, probably from Arabic جَار (jār, “neighbour”).

[edit]From Arabic جَار (jār, “neighbour”), maybe because Hararis checked in with the neighbours when they “went home”, or because being in someone’s “company” can be reinterpreted as his home.
