From Proto-Georgian-Zan *c̣₁ic̣₁-.[1][2] Cognate with Georgian წიწმატი (c̣ic̣maṭi, garden cress), Mingrelian ჭიჭამურე (č̣ič̣amure, toponym, a forest in Senaki).
