Etymology
[edit]From Armenian լորտուկ (lortuk), լորտու (lortu). The ghost form ღორტუკი (ɣorṭuḳi) first found in Čubinov 1887 and thence copied into other dictionaries is a misspelling of ლორტუკი (lorṭuḳi).[1]
Noun
[edit]ლორტუკი • (lorṭuḳi)
- (dated) nonvenomous snake, probably the grass snake (Natrix natrix)
