Etymology
[edit]Fähnrich reconstruct Proto-Kartvelian *werxw-, listing Svan ჲერხუ̂ (yerxû) and Mingrelian ვეხი (vexi) as cognates. However, Klimov considers the Svan word to be borrowed from Georgian, hence his reconstruction is for the Proto-Georgian-Zan stage.
