1. cavalry, horsemen
   • 5th century and later, Bible, Deuteronomy 20.1:

     გან-თუ-ხვიდოდი შენ წყობად მტერთა შენთა და იხილო მუნ ვაშტი და მჴედრები და გუნდები ერთა მრავალთაჲ უძლიერესი შენსა, ნუ გეშინინ მათგან, რამეთუ უფალი ღმერთი შენ თანა არს, რომელმან გამოგიყვანა შენ ქუეყანით ეგვიპტით.

     gan-tu-xvidodi šen c̣q̇obad mṭerta šenta da ixilo mun vašṭi da mqedrebi da gundebi erta mravaltay uʒlieresi šensa, nu gešinin matgan, rametu upali ɣmerti šen tana ars, romelman gamogiq̇vana šen kueq̇anit egviṗṭit.

       When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
