[edit]From გრილი (grili, “cool”) with the verb არს (ars, “to be”). The verb soon turned impersonal and got new screeve forms (გრილოდა (griloda), გრილოდეს (grilodes)).

- (impersonal) to be cool, chilly, fresh, brisk (weather), when it's less than cold and pleasantly so.
- ზაფხულის ბოლოს საღამოობით გრილა ხოლმე.
- zapxulis bolos saɣamoobit grila xolme.
- Late summer evenings are usually chilly.
