[edit]From an earlier form *ბორძგ- (*borʒg-), ultimately from Proto-Georgian-Zan *barʒg-, cognate with Georgian ბაძგი (baʒgi, “holly, ilex”).[1][2] Doublet of ბაძგი (baʒgi).
