From ა- (a-) +‎ წონ- (ǯon-) +‎ -ენ (-en). Inherited from Proto-Kartvelian *c̣w-en- (to see, show).

აწონენ (aǯonen) (Latin spelling aǯonen)

  1. (KhopaBatumi, Chkhala) Only used in კაი აწონენ (ǩai aǯonen) and პატი აწონენ (p̌aťi aǯonen)
  2. Khopa and Chkhala form of დაწონენ (daǯonen)
  3. (Chkhala) someone to think that something is in a state and that may not be wrong, something to seem to someone to be in a state
    მა ეშო მაწონენ: გოიშიქ ლაზური ნენას დიდო ყოროფს.
    ma eşo maǯonen: goişik lazuri nenas dido qorops.
    It seems to me that Goishi loves Laz very much.
