From ა- (a-) +‎ ფს- (ps-) +‎ -ენ (-en). Inherited from Proto-Kartvelian *ps- (to urinate).

    Synonym: წკაჲიშე დადგინენ (ǯǩayişe dadginen)
    ბერეს აფსენ. ჩეჩმეშე ამახთუ.
    beres apsen. çeçmeşe amaxtu.
    The kid has to pee. He went into the toilet.
