Particularly: “Not given etymology by STEDT (han "appear; drawn to life"), and not mentioned by Luce 1981. Bears some resemblance to modern pronunciations to Old Chinese (OC *bomʔ, “mold, pattern”), though probably unrelated. Note also 仿 (OC *pʰaŋʔ, “to imitate, resemble”).”
